Those of us that seek the wisdom of plant medicine do so for a variety of reasons. In my case, I am working through a terminal diagnosis and all of the associated trauma of same. Accordingly, I sought Kris’ expertise to properly prepare for, and then integrate, my experience.
While I instinctively knew the importance of post ceremony integration, I did not fully appreciate the importance of pre-ceremony preparation until working with Kris. Those early sessions allowed me to explore and better understand the reasons I was seeking plant medicine, including my hopes and expectations.
As my plant medicine ceremony approached, I was able to let go and surrender my expectations while at the same time maintaining the necessary courage to ask for what I wanted from the sacrament. In addition, I learned many insights and tools that allowed me to approach my ceremony with confidence.
Post ceremony, the real work began.
Leaning on Kris’ expertise and experience, I was able to integrate my ceremony, and extract profound lessons and wisdom from the plant medicine. While many of the insights were within my grasp, it was only through the thoughtful integration work that I was able to reach the a-ha moments.
